What started in 2004 as a humble alleyway concert series with just 500 people per night has grown into a five-block community celebration with more than 5,500 attendees on five summer Wednesday evenings. Downtown Sounds is more than a free community music festival — it's the drumbeat and rhythm of downtown Bellingham.
